"Heyyyyyy, what’s new with you!?"
It’s such a common way to reconnect with someone after some time, isn’t it?
But notice—we don’t say:
“Hey, what’s old?”
or
“Hey, remind me of something I already know.”
We ask what’s new. Because new is exciting, engaging, and keeps us curious! And that’s exactly why, as business owners, we can’t afford to sit back and rely on what worked yesterday.
The Real Pandemic: Ad Fatigue
Social media has opened incredible doors for businesses—direct access to target audiences, viral potential, and tools to connect with the perfect prospects.
..Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutt…
…there’s a catch.
The attention span of your audience is shrinking faster than ever. Think about it—how often do you hear about “TikTok brain”? Kids (and adults!) are struggling to sit through a movie, complete tasks, or even focus on videos longer than 90 seconds.
And let’s be real: this doesn’t just affect younger people. It impacts all of us, including your clients.
Why?
Because they’re bombarded with content and ads 24/7. It’s overwhelming and exhausting.
So how do you cut through the noise and keep your audience interested?
The Solution: Keep It Fresh and Intriguing
Here’s the good news: you don’t need to start choreographing TikTok dances to keep your audience engaged.
Instead, focus on variety.
Don’t just stick to one ad, one video, or one blog post. Diversify your content and give your prospects plenty of options to explore:
Running one ad? Create three.
Got one video in your retargeting campaign? Make five to ten more.
Sharing one article? Build a library of engaging resources.
Your audience wants depth, not repetition. When they’re genuinely interested, they’ll dive deeper. But it’s up to you to create that buffet of options—something for everyone to feast on.
If you’re relying on just one piece of content or a single ad campaign, now’s the time to expand. Test different approaches, keep things fresh, and give your audience a reason to keep coming back.
